That vertical swing in the in the video is called a dropping swing also. it is similar to a hammer stone dropping swing. I haven't seen that type of tool before , but it looks like it works fine....

Marquardt I'm so impressed with your hand/eye coordination. Dragging a flake with a slug is one thing but using the tool almost as a punch must take a steady hand. Enjoyed the vid. thanks for sharing...
